Do you suffer from pain in your arms, upper back, neck, shoulders, wrists, or hands? Do you sit at a desk day in and day out? Do you stand on your feet all day and it takes a toll on your body? If so, then you could be suffering from RSI, but what is RSI? What does it mean?

RSI is known as Repetitive Stress Injury. It is a condition that affects many people around the world, and is cause from work related upper limb syndrome. It is something that can be prevented and can be treated. The most common RSI that you will know is carpal tunnel syndrome. Many suffer from this and many get over it every year. You just have to know what to do to prevent, what the signs are, and how to treat RSI.

You can prevent RSI by listening to your aches and pains. If you have pain in your arm while you work, find out why. Stop doing what hurts you and seek answers. It is not something that you need to keep doing, for it will just make things worse. Stretch out your body when you get tired or start hurting. Make sure you are doing something to make sure you are in top shape at all times.

You may also want to know what the warning signs are for RSI. If you have any pain in your neck, upper back, arms, wrists, and/or hands. Numbness, tingling, fatigue, loss or grip, and many more things all add up to what can be your down fall. You need to make sure that you know when you are hurting and don't push your limit, especially when you don't know the cause.

There are treatments that are available to you if you should not listen to you body and end up with RSI. You can make sure to stretch out your body after sitting for a long time or standing. Make sure your posture is what it needs to be, not keeping your back straight at all times can hurt you in the long run. There is always surgery, which some will have no choice about. You will then need some physical therapy. It is just part of the process, but you need to make sure you don't get to this point.

Take a good long look at what you are doing for a living and if any pains you may be having. If you have some of these warning signs, see your doctor. Your doctor will be able to help you figure out what is wrong and what will be the best way to treat that problem. It all boils down to the way you care for your body. If you don't then it will not be good to you either. You have to know when you are hurting and why. Stop doing whatever it is that you are doing. If it happens again then something is not right. Make it right and prevent RSI, by listening to your body. Its that simple.
